Event Posters
At Layton Construction, I work regularly with the HR team to create posters and other invites for our various company events. These posters and invites are hung around the office or email/mailed to employees. There are a wide variety of events that I’ll create posters or invites for. Some of which are company parties, retreats, and events. Depending on the type of event, I will center the design of my poster around the said event. I enjoy having these kinds of projects to work on because I am not required to stick to the company brand. This allows me to test my abilities and allows me to explore new design ideas and techniques.
One example of this is the most recent Halloween poster I created. I created the poster in Illustrator and through using different blending techniques I was able to merge 3 different images into one. The result created the eerie night-scape found as the main image of the poster. The response around the office was outstanding. With the image being so eye-catching, many people stopped and looked at the poster.
